The Madonio Family Animal Welfare Trust donates $10,000

The Madonio Family Animal Welfare Trust recently approved grants totaling $10,000 benefiting 6 local animal causes. The funds were available due to the success of the Dog Days of Summer Festival held in August. Those receiving grants included Family & Community Services for the Paws-in-Motion program that supplies pet food to Portage residents who receive Meals in Motion; the Portage Animal Protective League for their cat neutering initiative; Rose's Rescue; Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary; and Twin Lakes Veterinary Hospital and Memorial Animal Hospital for emergency care of sick or injured dogs and cats.
